Great site!
Gave me ton's of info and am looking for a great 2005 season. I do most of my hunting in the Alpena/Posen area's and we do quite well, not always ton's of morel's, but enough to get us by the winter. I will be checking your site every couple of day's until my son and I go to the cottage around mother's day or maybe sooner. happy hunting. |

I think your site is very informative ... I am fascinated by
the mystery of morels and am going to give hunting a try this season
...
after spending 3 days on the web trying to learn as much as I can I
came across your site ... your information was the most informative for us
newbies! As I live in north central Illinois .. 50 miles nw of Chicago
in Mchenry county .. I have a few weeks more of learning .. have you
any suggestions for reading or such?
Keep up the good work .. and thank you, Debbie |

I just wanted to say that your web site is about the best
overall morel site I have found so far. I work in the Information
Technology Dept. of a large company, and my primary job title (I wear many
hats) is Information Architect, which is a fancy name for Web Site
Designer. I am very impressed with how you organized your information, and the
way you display it. Nicely done. I haven't gone through all
of it yet, but so far it looks and reads great! |

I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your site. It
is very informative. This is my first year trying to pick the edible
kind of morels. I was eating a false kind for years that was full of MMH. I
live in Ontario, Canada north of Sault Ste. Marie. Reading about the
Michigan morel makes me believe that we have the same type of bush here
So I should be able to find the elusive morel. |

Mike,
I sure wish I found this site sooner. So much information!!! I love it. I just hope it doesn't take me 3 years to find some. Last year I found about 10, so that is a good start, right? I also understand how you feel about being an addict. It's like a smoker wanting a cigarette. (I'm an x-smoker now) Thank you!!! |

First thing I must SAY , Your site rocks , simple for the
common man , sofistcated enuff to provide very informative for those
looking for alil more detail ,,, Thank you , I have enjoyed my reads from
your experiences. My hunts started when I was very young , first time
out I never found any , while everyone in the family found many ,,, sad
sad boy I was ,,, yrs went by , I never put forth much thought to it
(hating the disappointment) , then 1 day it came back to me ,,, I went
looking with my blindfold on ,,, but yet remembering anything about where
I found them ,,, and I did by gods good graces ,,, a mess the first
time ,,, and now I am up to 12lbs this season already ,,, Your site has
helped in answering some of the questions I have been asking for 3 yrs
now .
Please continue with your infatuation , it intigues others such as
myself , even finding the biggest shroom doesnt carry the same feeling I
get from taking a newbie out and watching them find thier first ! I
have 2 newbies addicted this yr , it was incredable to see the looks on
thier faces . Passing along a tradition that few have the energy er
enthusiasm . It takes a special kinda person the have what it takes to be a
true Hunter .
We just had 3 days of rain , I went out everyday in my full rainsuit
all 3 days , the greys were popping in hoards , so I took a buddy on his
first hunt , he got soaked from head to toe , lol , but found his
first , he is addicted now , and learning quickly .
So I write this to you ,,, I have learned more from you as well and
will let you know juss how this season turns out !!!
And by the way ,,, ya can gimmie shout anytime , would love to
actually talk with about THE FRUIT OF THE FOREST FLOOR
GREAT READING , KEEP IT COMING |

What a great morel site!!! You should be very proud of this
informational and educational resource. I enjoyed the "Identifying
Trees" section. I just thought I would kindly suggest that you consider
including apple trees as well. I find loads of beautiful grays under many
of the "wild" apple trees on my land. The trees are very thorny so I'm
not sure what variety of apple trees they are. They may have very well
been planted, but all I know is they were here before me. They continue
to produce year after year. Only grays though, never any yellows...I
guess we need to ask a mycologist! Ha. Great site. Congrats and thanks!
