Morel Mushroom Season "2012"

Highslide JS
Couple of small whities

Greetings and welcome to Northern Country Morels.

Tis that time once again where we are graced with the presents of the wonderful rite of spring. Such a wonderful time of year where the birds are returning, flowers are blooming and trees are budding. The woods are filled with the sounds of peeps and the fresh rejuvenating sensation of the renewal of life.

Once again we are overcome with that enticing feeling, the irresistable urge that drives us from our normal everyday lives to crawl the woods to seek out the most sought after ever elusive morel.
For some, the annual ritual has taken place and many have taken to the woods to collect the ever prized morel mushroom. For the rest of us we anxiously await Gods springtime blessings to return.

The morel mushroom has been slowly making its way across the US from West to East and South to North. Many of us have been having those morel dreams at night and waking excited for the up coming morel season. Finally a hint is in the air. We are ever so close to collecting our woodland treasures. Soon the rest of us will be flocking the woods and seeking out the ever elusive morel.

In the mean time stop on by our Messageboard and take 5 minutes to register a free account to join our great group of morel enthusiasts. Get the latest morel mushroom reports and track the morel progress on our Morel Progress map.

To everyone Northern Country Morels wishes everyone a Happy and prosperous 2012 Morel Seaon!

After a snowfall in Northern Michigan this weekend, it might take longer than normal for our crop of morels to rise to the occasion. How's is the harvest in Southern Michigan going?
