Discussions on Morel Mushrooms. Please do not post your finds in this forum.

Do not give specific areas where mushrooms have been found. Refrain from naming street names, Business names, government buildings, shopping centers, pasturelands, when specific directions are given to a location, or any place with an address. Naming a County and or State is fine and will provide enough info for any hunter to get an idea if mushrooms are being found in their area.<br />Click here for more info: Respecting other Hunters

In upstate NY it has been above 70 during the day and no cooler than 55 at night for almost 2 weeks now. I've been out quite a bit and when ever I find morels, which has been seldom compared to 2.5 weeks ago, they've been old and dried up. Does this mean the season is over or is there still hope for more? :Whistling:

I figured it was done, but I really can't complain. I've got about 2 lbs in the freezer, 4 good spots, and all this during my first year collecting morels! Besides, last night I came across copious amounts of Laetiporus sulfurous, Chicken of the Woods! Thanks for writing back.
