I thought there would be more people posting here this close to deer season. Everyone giving up on deer hunting this year. When does Mi. season start? Any body ib the ms.com deer hunting team contest? Our bow season starts 9/27/08. I have just recently started addressing this myself due to lack of time. I am finally starting to get fired up about the season. It may actually be my 6 year old daughter who is getting me going. She is so excited about the season I think that's what is getting me going. I made the mistake of taking her to Gander Mtn. with me to get my tags. She was going crazy in there. Thought I was going to have to leave with 1 of everything. None of it would have been for me though.

Nope, not a broken computer. Been busy with school. I got 3 classes Manufacturing processes, Machinery's Handbook, and Physics. One has a 20 question handout for homework. Another one has anywhere between 30-60 questions from the book. Then Physics has a ton of homework, statitical sheets, essays, and math equations (120 from just the first week of class). Fun, fun, fun. I'm just glad I didn't take tool and die theory or metals along with these classes.

Our season starts the 1st of October. I haven't bought my license yet but have been shooting religiously since the end of July. (even though I got to get used to my new fall away rest still)

I check in everday but not much going on right now.The site runs really slow for me being on dial up and had to send the new puter back before I even got a chance to get it hooked up on sattelite internet.Yep bow season is just around the corner.I don't get too worked up about the first of the season....With all thats been going on this year with the CWD and no baiting.it's going to make for an interesting season for most.....good luck to everyone and be safe....

Well, I just got my doe permit notice in the mail. This is the first year, in I don't know how long, that I won't be bow hunting. Saving it all for the gun opener. I got one buck tag and one doe tag. Reminds me of the ole days.

Not much time for anything right now. We are exrtemely busy at work. Been working 6-7 days a week 10-12 hours a day. Just back from Field service from Canada. Worked 94 hours last week.

ive been having alot of trouble with my computer of late but im starting to get excited.i usually dont hunt alot in the early season and ive been busy as well.i havent got my camera out yet gonna start some scouting this weekend if the rain holds off.

Skull, so your computer really was broke. I've never really done any baiting but I do have a salt block in front of my trailcam I put out just this week. I'm hoping to check it this weekend. Sorry to hear about the CWD as it's just a matter of time before it hits Ohio.

Shroomer69, no bowhunting? I'd rather have my eyeballs pecked out by a duck . In Ohio I can take 5 doe & 1 buck. If I need a 7th deer I can go to SE Ohio & take an additional doe. I don't have the money or room for another freezer so I don't need that many deer.

HuntNdaddy, I sure hope the company you work for is paying you dearly for that dedication. Gotta love Canada, that was my father's home land. What type of field service do you do?

Nontypical, so your computer was broke also. My excitement wasn't there until my daughter got me going. I can see my hunting shifting more to the teaching side. I think having my daughter showing a serious interest in the outdoor sports is what is getting me going. I need to get my old crossbow out & start showing her how to shoot it. Even at the age of 6 she keeps asking when will it be her turn to shoot a deer. Get that camera out as I like the pics you post. Hopefully I can get some good pics on my camera to post for you guys. I am planning on checking it tomorrow, er today. Hopefully I'll have something to post that will get your guy's blood flowing for the season.

I can't get rid of the drop away rest. Then the knock and vane manufaturers would go out of business. I keep shooting them off I got to get 5 new vanes for my arrows at the moment, may as well buy a dozen. I am unbelievably overstocked in the knock department though. Now I just need a decent sized chunk of venison to step in front of me.

Well, I am not complaining at all. It has been scary around here for the past year. We have only had enough wok to barely keep us going. Now we are beginning to get a bunch of new work now. I love it! Makes me feel more secure despite the economy and I hate to say this but Christmas is coming up real quick so the extra cash is indeed a good thing. I am still going to be in my tree come Oct 1st. I was so busy this year that I forgot to apply for a doe permit.
