Well, everyone ready for Wednesday? I'm not! I went to shoot my bow last night. I drew back and heard a small pop and could no longer see through my peep. Well the serving popped just above my peep sight so I have to redo it and try to sight my bow back in.

If I don't get everything all together for this Friday, at least I have a back-up plan. Gonna do some fishing and squirrel chasing. Gonna be staying up by Tippie at my buddies cabin for the weekend.

I'm packed and leaving Thursday after work.
Cloths are sprayed with no scent and in vacuum sealed bags.
Bows are still out for one last practice round before they get put in the truck.
Wifes going shopping today to get junk food for the weekend and of course a can of spam.

i am not ready but im going to camp out in the woods here in a few hours.give me a chance to get my stands set up and moved.

Don't forget to check for hens while your out. I have read a few reports that they are out in pickable numbers.



My junkfood consist of sardines, snack crackers, smoked salmon, venison, and salmon strips in my favorite homemade batter.

I don't get too worked up about the first of the season(have dr's appointments anyways but I want to wish everyone good luck and above all be safe....

Leaving tomorrow about 12 noon. Got my tree stand set up over a week ago. Plan on hunting till Sunday. Then back to work. The weather is supposed cool down so maybe the deer will move.

well i came back home for a day to spend with misty been married 8 years today.then back out to the woods for a couple days .like gary said i dont get to excited eary on and i probably wont even hunt.found some chickens but they were way to far gone no hens yet.seen a ton of other shrooms but no book to identify them.good luck everyone and be safe!
