For the first time in about 20 yrs I am not taking a Canada fishing trip. Kinda sad about it. Decided to take my kids on a big vacation instead.

I will be renting a cabin on Hamlin Lake (Ludington area) for a week of fishing this summer. Never been there before. Hope the fishing is good.

I guess I'm spoiled. I'm heading to my folks' place on the gulf in Alabama. Planning to go after some red snapper, King Mackeral, Red fish, white trout, and maybe some sharks. My 7 year old son insists that his granddad take him shark fishing this time. We'll see.
It's not Canada, but the lodging and boat are free!
