MJMH wrote: I am getting fed up with all the nonsense on here. If people would just abide by the rules, then the moderation and admin team could get more done on the board. Currently we are dealing with a high amount of lurkers/spammers/flamers/etc... Rule breakers in general. With this high amount, it doesn't give us time to deal with the map or respond to posts. All of us, Moderator and Admin team, do this for free and we take time out of our personal lives to make this community what it is today.
Currently we are 3 weeks behind on the map because we cannot deal with these useless one liners and lurkers trying to gain access to the map. We are trying our best just to keep the forum clean and flowing smoothly.
If people do not quit posting garbage on the site and cluttering it up, the map will become invite only where people will be selected to be able to access or see the map. This also will include some of the current forum viewing privileges!
This person that I am making an example out of registered Fri May 14, 2010 at 2:56 pm and last posted: Fri May 14, 2010 3:08 pm. It took a whopping 12 minutes to make a ton of work cleaning up for myself. Please read all the posts as he gave me a perfect example of what not to do. I only allowed one of his posts to be left in the thread that it was originally posted in. That post was just a one liner though and barely met the criteria for posting.
Again, before posting, read the stickies, the board rules, and the FAQ's. Violation again will not be tolerated and you will not receive another chance. PERIOD!
If you are having trouble with any of the board, please post in the technical support or email one of us directly. After this, it will not be an allowable excuse. You will be gone if you start nonsense such as what follows. The posts in this thread go in an order of the title of the post, the thread link, original post of the thread, mushroom76's post, my thoughts in blue and what will happen in red!Re: Taking a Poll... Do you hunt morels for the pleasure of eating them? OR Do you hunt morels for profit? mushroom76 wrote: no Is the poster that dense that he can't even answer a simple question? THIS POST IS JUST SO FAR OFF BASE THAT I CANNOT DESCRIBE IT! IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. A ONE LINER THAT IS OFF TOPIC WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE BAN!

Re: Where won't they grow? Thread can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15501 Original Post wrote: I've recently started mushrooming, with my first real hunt in a forest in Saginaw county. I was wondering if there are places where Morels just won't grow or aren't likely to grow? I see a lot of info about where to find them, what trees, etc., but not the opposite. The forest I looked in was mostly oak and maple, and I saw almost no mushrooms, let alone morels. Should I avoid certain types of trees just the same as I should look for certain ones? mushroom76 wrote: HMMMM??? WTH??? What does this have to do with the original thread? Kind of hard to get 10 posts if you cant reply-----Anyway, I always dump the water I used to soak my Morels in a paticular place. I have Morels grow in that spot every year, I suppose its from the spores in the water? mushroom76 wrote: cool What does this have to do with the original post besides maybe it's cool that the mushrooms are growing in the wash water. ONE WORD POSTS ARE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE ADMIN AND MOD TEAM AND USUALLY GET YOU BANNED INSTANTLY WITHOUT ANY IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS. NO EXCUSES AFTER THIS!
