Was a awesome opener in IL cool weather and not too windy and the deer were moving.Got to my hunting land around 5:OO AM and got changed headed into the field soon as i hit the beans white flags waving thought to myself not a good start.Snuck down and slid into my stand.Sat quietly waiting for daylight.Lots of movement in the dark finally light nothing.After about 1/2hr a large doe came right in as i stood up this god aweful tearing sound came off my body burrs all over my legs COULDN'T MOVE AT ALL WITHOUT MAKING NOISE!!!!
Needless to say i had to let a 10 yd shot walk as not to blow my stand position.Around 8:00 two doe approach and the larger one gives me a 20 yrd broadside BINGO DOUBLE LUNGER.Watch here fall not even 150ft away.Opening morning success is awesome!!!Ended up tagging her and heading home to get the butchering going being that it was a warm day.A short but worthy opener.Can't wait till this saturday
