bought some kaylands last fall and i love them they have yet to let my feet feel any moisture from outside... and i can walk in them for hours. they have the eVent instead of GTX. I bought some GTX mid hikers early last season and they didnt even last me a season before i was feeling moisture through them. I've gotten my feet in some should have been soakers with the kaylands... have yet to be disappointed. they also feature a more natural "rolling step" with the sole of the boot at the toe box letting your foot just kinda of rock forward to take a step rather than having to flex the boot and pick up and take a step if that makes any sense at all. Anyway i know it wasnt a brand u were lookin at but i've been damn happy with 'em

Jon, I've had three different pair of timberlands. I kept trying them because I had friends that like them. Every pair I've owned have felt great in the store but are hell on my feet and back after a few uses. I have had great luck with Danner and Rocky's. [ Post made via Motorola Droid ]

Jon, check out the boots in the Sportsman's Guide on line. I've bought a lot of things out of there and it's always been good, quality stuff ! The only problem is, you probably want them now.
When they're up, it's time to go Pick'n, If they're not, then it's time to go Fish'n !!!! If neither are here, it's time for a Cold Beer !!!

I absolutely love the Danner Hawks I bought last spring, they come with a big price tag but have solved all my foot problems, there so comfortable I call them my 4 wheel drive socks.
Just remember...... you can eat any mushroom ONCE

We like to go to Gander Mountian to buy boots. Never seen a boot that last forever so might as well get a good deal on a good quality boot. They have a website but I don't know if the specials are online. It's worth a shot to save some $.

With my bad feet, I'm a big advocate on quality boots....my Danner Pronghorns are on their 6th year. Tons of miles and they lasted longer than any other I've owned. What has impressed you???

If you have wider feet I'd highly recommend Keens. I was pretty much all Timberlands before, but the Keens were more comfortable, lasted longer, and were better waterproof. I can't see ever buying anything different.
