Hi Paul,
I think it does need to be refrigerated. At least, everything that I have read has said to do so. During the winter, I store the extra chug in the garage. I am going to have to powder a bunch again before I leave for Canada in a couple weeks.

If you get into it, fly fishing is addicting. I fly fish for everything in fresh or saltwater. My late brother Ray commercial fished out of Key West, Florida. I would go down and help him out for a week or two every year. I would always have a couple fly rods rigged on the back of the boat. I had a ball. These days I spent most of my time lake fly fishing for trout. I learned to fly fish at the age of 10. I was a river rat most of my life and I did not start lake fly fishing until about 1978. You may be surprised to learn that my first attempt at lake fly fishing was on Lake Huron on the thumb at Harbor Beach. If you want to read some more about what I do these days, go to dakotaflyfishers.com and click on newsletters.

Some people like it just as it is. Most add some sugar. I use the chaga tea as a base and add an Earl Grey tea and use stevia to sweeten it. I just finished a cup. I will drink 2 to 3 more before the day is out. You have to make a commitment to drinking it to get any of the benefits. My shoulders are a testiment to the fact that it works. It is not like I have been babying them all winter. I have been playing carpenter, plumber, painter, electrician and doing dry wall. There is a small energy boost that goes along with it. It is hard to believe that I saw a surgeon in November about the left shoulder and that my right shoulder was almost as bad. My problem turned out to be arthritis and tendonitis.

Thank you Blake! I found some but it was 20 feet up a tree on private property. I leave again for Manitoba on Wednesday for 2 weeks. I just came home Wednesday night because the weather was going to be nasty for 5 days. It is going to snow tonight and tomorrow night. Bob

Okay, another question for the chaga experts, is it any birch or just paper/white birch that they are good from. I found some on a yellow birch today and took it home. From reading on the interwebs it seems that it should be a go for medicinal properties.
I'll update with an image whenever I get the images uploaded to my photobucket.
