Found my first apen oyster

Found them on a downed aspen tree along the edge of a field. It was in direct sunlight and was real fresh. I also got a to see a few dryads saddle buttons and alcohol inky caps. Of course, there were the lbm's all over too.

jon...avatar is me 55 pounds extra on my gut and 40+ of fireburn morels..from the Sleeper Lake burn...found the fuzzy foot and thanks to greysRDbest for knowing what it was!

Dear dog! The temp over there, according to the stats at top left, is twenty-six degrees this morning. Sheesh! Woke to forty-one here in E. Iowa. I'd planned on making a run up to my favorite river island today but it's rainy. That wouldn't normally stop me but it's windy also and my little boat is too tiny for that.

I envy you the oyster mushrooms. It may be sacrilege, but I think I prefer them to morels. Maybe.

Maybe not.

Dont forget, Aspen oysters cause stomach distress for some people.

Yep, I could use the constipation it gives me after all the tacos and burritos I had this weekend!

As a side note, it makes most people spray paint and have serious stomach cramps.
