Well Heya everyone! I'm Back!

Well, My dad and I hunted from Monday through Friday and neither one of us brought any meat home. To say the leased, it was a slow week. Never seen a deer my first three hunts. On Tuesday evening is when I saw my first deer. Actually the rear end of a deer sneaking through the thicket. Never seen it's head. Then about 20 minutes later a small button buck came within bow range. Go figure! Well of course I let him walk. Well, not to bore you all with a long drawn out story. Didn't see many deer. I seen a total of 12 deer in 5 days of hunting. (Nice job MIDNR) Most of the majority were all out of bow range with the exception of the button buck and a small doe with a fawn and on another occasion a small 2 inch spike. (Not even legal) The weather was so hot. I hunted in a light weight long sleeved camo shirt in the evening hunts Which was even too warm for that. the mornings were in the upper 60's. Never put on the gloves and never even broke out the thermo underwear.

My dad didn't see many deer either. Neither one of us ever seen a buck larger than a spike. I hunted a public access farm on the edge of a cut corn field with the evening sun beating right on me for the last 3 hours of daylight. This is the first year I actually got a suntan bow hunting.... Seriously!

Well we plan on going back up the first weekend in November to try and stick one, but in the mean time, I will try to get up on the weekends.
