Any bunny hunters out there? I've been out 1 time this season with a couple friends - we hunted on a couple of farms over by Davison Michigan..We saw probably 25 rabbits in a two of hours - took 8 home so that wasn't too bad. I'd like to expand the areas I'm hunting so if anyone has any recommendations I would appreciate it.

Man I wish I can get out. My dad and I used to go every year with his two beagles. Now that I live almost 300 miles away, I don't get the opportunity to get out now. Hopefully that will all change very soon if my m oving plans go as planed.

Jimdaye,

You may want to try Holly for rabit hunting. All along grange hall between Saginaw street and Fenton. Try also the holly rec area. Also there are alot of farms on North Holly road from Grange Hall to I-75. May be able to get permission. I have always wanted to do this but just haven't had the time.

Good Luck

Got out again today - We saw lots of tracks - Only got one rabbit.. I hunted in Bald Mt State game area - I think I need to slow down a lot - take longer to really cover the small pockets .. I'll have to give Holly a try next week.. :cool1:

not really anymore, i moved from illinois several years back and havent really gone thru the motions of leasing land etc or buying land or beggin to hunt on land. i do love rabbit..certain cuts of deer, quail, dove etc . i used to adore dove breasts cooked in wild rice, and probably still would but i cant get ahold of any wild dove here. i live in the city so i probably could put out some sunflower seeds and wait in the yard....with a stick...real quiet.

You took 8 home on 1 hunt, isn't the limit here in Michigan 5 per day? BTW, I Love bunny hunting, I would love to get out hunting with you sometime, I live in Roseville. Get in contact with me and we'll work something out for this season. I'm sure we can exchange info via private messages.

Once upon a time there was a guy who asked a girl "Will You Marry Me?". She said "No" and he lived Happily Ever After and went Hunting and Fishing and Shroomin' and Drank Beer and Farted whenever he wanted...THE END
