Discussions on Morel Mushrooms. Please do not post your finds in this forum.

Do not give specific areas where mushrooms have been found. Refrain from naming street names, Business names, government buildings, shopping centers, pasturelands, when specific directions are given to a location, or any place with an address. I always hear a lot about mushroom hunting in lower Michigan,but not the upper Pennisula.Is there a reason.Is the habitat bad in the U.P.

Me and friends plan four-day weekends to go up and pick in the UP. If you know some UP history and geography, there's a lot of promise.

If you know where to look.........took us quite a few years of hunting, but we average at least 700 to 1000 a year....yeah I count em. Anyway, yes, they are here in da up, but not yet this year, cept for a few small findings. Deb.
