Kinda funny how one of the main reasons your quitting is also one of the things that drive you to smoke.

Good job! failure is the key in my opinion. understand why you fail and work on it. i quit smoking 6years ago. once i told myself that i understood that it will be very hard, i am going to be a **Censored** for a while, i am going to think and be around cigarets every day for the rest of my life i decided to be strong and deal with it. the longer you go the easier it gets. before that i tried to quit for two years never making it past noon. finally my hospital was having free classes on quitting and free nicotine patches. i went to just get the free stuff turns out, it was a 8 week course . the teacher was great and the info i learned was more useful than the patches. plus i had a class full of friends going through the same thing i was and we could all talk and listen to each other and learn from each other. the best thing i learned is everyone's different you gotta find what works for you. i could type all day with suggestions i learned. ill end it with this. that class was free and gave away free patches. all supplied by the tobacco companies. back then and i think it still might be like this today, the tobacco companies have to pay out so much $ per year for quitting smoking programs and aids. so with a little research you can get a lot of help. and even if you just want free nicotine . there's a lot of things you can do instead of smoking. read, eat slowly, chew gum, drink a glass of tea, breathe, play with the kids, laugh at the kids yell at the kids, go for a walk, exercise ( good for me), brush your teeth, shroomin, clean, breathe ,scratch your butt, ........ and so on. GOOD LUCK
Blewits are better.

Hi Mike,
I quit 15 years ago. You will eventually have to do it. So, let it be on your terms. I quit cold turkey after 30+ years of smoking. The most difficult part for me was not the first few days, it was a couple weeks after. Then I had cravins big time. I bought some raunchy cheap cigars and every time the craving got too bad, I would light one up outside. I would take a couple hits on the nasty things, clip the tip off and put it in a plastic bag in the freezer. This just made it nastier. After a couple months of that, I was home free.
Good Luck!
Bob

The one thing that helped me quit in 2009 was having a list of changes your body undergoes from the first 7 minutes to the first 3 to 6 months after quitting and actually following those. It was kind of like a reward or level up system for myself. I never really felt like I spent a lot on cigarettes so the money saving wasn't a real bid deal to me. Still, 3-4 packs a week was some savings. Can't imagine what it would be like now. Seems like they are through the roof for a pack of Marlboros these days.

NEED. A. CIGARETTE!!!!
The 4 year old lost my e-cigarette last night. She also let the dog out which crapped in front of my bedroom door and I step in it. The dog also finished off the couch trying to find **Censored** CHINA!!!! Then the little *Female dog* for a cat decides to piss in my clothing that I have been sorting through/wearing. I am wearing pissy clothes right now waiting for the dryer to finish up! Free **Censored** cat, free **Censored** dog, and free **Censored** kid. If no one takes them, I'm digging a 6 foot deep hole!!!!
