Figured it was early,but took the kids to hunt my chant spot on Sunday. Didn't find any but ended up finding what I'm pretty sure was an umbrella polypore. Not in the best condition, some fronds looked fresh enough to eat but since I wasn't 100%. It definitely smelled tasty. It looked very like a young hen. Didn't have time to print it or to take a photo so its drying on my porch might check back this weekend and try to get a pic for positive i.d.
