Congrats, but I hate to say, as long as you keep using a crutch, the urge will not go away. I went cold turkey about 8 months ago. It's getting better, but still have that craving, especially when I have a drink or ten. I'm not trying to be a downer, but the craving never goes away !! I have a friend who just started smoking again after 19 yrs. of smoke free. He said it was a battle every day. Just buckle down and , Just say No !!! You can do it !!!

When they're up, it's time to go Pick'n, If they're not, then it's time to go Fish'n !!!! If neither are here, it's time for a Cold Beer !!!

Good Job! :du:

It has been 15 years for me but like Jack says, you have to get rid of the crutch some time. Keep it up. It is worth it. I had cravings for a long time but I always thought about all the torture of quiting. It was something that I never wanted to go through again.

Great job!!!! You have got through the hardest part now. I have heard some people believe you can never really quit a habit , only replace it. That theory holds true for me.

Blewits are better.
